Denisse Salvent is a former professional ballet dancer from the National Ballet of Cuba. Her repertoire includes major classical productions such as "DON QUIXOTE, GISELLE, SWAN LAKE, THE NUTCRACKER, THE SLEEPING BEAUTY as well as George Balanchine's masterpieces, within the neo-classical genre.
Denisse began her classical ballet studies at the age of 10. Her training was sculpted by prominent Cuban ballet masters such as Fernando Alonso, Martha Iris Fernandez, Ramona de Saa, Ana Leite and Svetlana Ballester. Denisse also received master classes from international ballet coaches such as Mikhail Baryshnikov, Azari Plizetsky, Loipa Araujo and Aurora Bosch. After finishing her studies at the prestigious National Ballet School at the age of 17, she was selected to join the National Ballet of Cuba, directed by Alicia Alonso. As a member of the company she was able to participate in several International Ballet Festivals in Cuba, Mexico and Canada. Among her many privileges throughout her career, she had the honor to share the stage with international ballet icons such as Carlos Acosta, Agnes Letestu, Jose Manuel Carreno, Viengsay Valdes among others.
